MOPA’s trademark POP Thursdays returns incorporating our newest film program, Cinema Select.

Cinema Select
You decide what movie from 1983 you want to see?  Valley Girl?  The Outsiders?  Risky Business?  Voting on these titles will determine which movie we show at the event. 

Push Pin Party
In conjunction with the POP Thursdays event will also be a "Push Pin Party." Just like when we opened in 1983, we invite you to put your pictures up on the walls of the museum.  This is a rare opportunity for the aspiring photographer to have an image hanging in a world-class photography museum.  

Mobile Photography Challenge
Since everyone has a camera on their phones these days, we are adding a Mobile Photo Challenge to the Push Pin Party.  Use#MOPA30 to submit an image that may be selected to hang on our walls at this POP event.  Check out the Mobile Photo Challenge page for more details.

General Information

MOPA launched POP Thursdays (Photography Off the Prado) in the summer of 2007 to offer an evening event centered around fun and photography. Each event is hosted by MOPA and features music, drinks, interactive projects and cult films.
Guests can engross themselves in the film by grabbing a seat in our state-of-the-art theater. Others can take in the vibe and enjoy a drink from the cash bar as the film is projected on the atrium wall, while experiencing the exhibitions on display.
