Farewell MOPA!

For one of the first times in recent memory, I'm at a loss for words, so I'll start simply: Today is my last day as the marketing and communications manager at MOPA. Although everyone (ok, almost everyone) says this, it has truly been a pleasure to work with such an amazingly talented and truly dedicated team--the mission you see on the website is what I see lived out at this organization week in and week out. From my experience, this is somewhat unique among organizations and makes MOPA a very special place to work. Plus I have had the distinct pleasure of working in a beautiful space within a beautiful space--museums have always felt like a second home to and it's hard to find a prettier locale in San Diego than Balboa Park. 

The best part of my time at MOPA though has been working with and learning from you, our MOPA community, hearing your thoughts on Twitter, sharing your photos on Facebook and checking out some amazing contest submissions (the Foodie Photo Contest was a favorite, although I must say that I ate about three desserts each day after looking at all the mouth-watering images submitted). While I'm excited for some new horizons, there is no doubt in my mind that I'll miss this. I already do. 

In my new career, I'll be working as a creative writer for the UCSD Rady School of Management, writing marketing copy and creating content for their online and new media presence.
