SDIFF Monthly Screening: "Inside Buffalo"| Talk with Filmmaker Fred Kuwornu 02.21.2013 7:00 pm Inside Buffalo Fred Kuwornu, 2010, 59 minutes The San Diego Italian Film Festival celebrates Black History Month with “Inside Buffalo”, an award-winning documentary. "Inside Buffalo" tells the story of the all black combat outfit called Buffalo Soldiers, which fought an extraordinarily brave campaign in Tuscany against the Nazi’s supposedly unbreakable Gothic Line in northern Italy. These American soldiers faced not only an extremely tough & ruthless enemy – they also confronted ruthless racism from their own country. It was director Kuwornu’s meeting with Spike Lee and his work on Lee’s film, Miracle at Saint Anna, on location in Tuscany, that inspired Kuwornu to undertake this very personal journey of discovery culminating in this powerful and award-winning documentary. Director, Fred Kuwornu will be available for a Q&A after the film. $10 Admission- CASH ONLY
