Shop MOPA: Art Bazaar

The ultimate night-time shopping experience pops up at MOPA's Late Night Thursday on August 6 from 5 - 9 p.m. Ease your wanderlust and roam the museum's atrium as it transforms into an international Art Bazaar, inspired from the global video exhibition 7 billion Others. Shop local artists from Tijuana and San Diego.

Entry included with Pay What You Wish admission to the museum.

7 billion Conversations: Preserving the Planet for Future Generations

Join us at MOPA for a panel made up of community leaders to discuss issues related to the 7 billion Others exhibition. The third and final installment - Preserving the Planet for Future Generations - is inspired from the films "Climate Voices," playing now at MOPA.

Panelists will share their thoughts about how these ideas affect the San Diego region, and you will be able to share your thoughts and ideas as part of a wider conversation. Panelists are from the Center for Sustainable Energy, the Environmental Health Coalition, and more.

Memories at the Museum - Docent Tour

Join us for an engaging, unique docent-led discussion and tour for those with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's and dementia as well as their loved ones, caregivers and family members.

Museum docents facilitate discussions about artwork and exhibitions to stimulate visual and verbal abilities and to spark memory.  Museum admission and tour is free of charge to participants.

Each monthly tour is limited to 8 pairs (16 attendees total).  Pre-registration is required.  Please contact Lisa Snyder, LCSW at the Shiley-Marcos Alzheimer's Disease Research Center at 858-822-4800 or to register for the tour.

Summer Saturday at the Dubois Library

Announcing special Summer Saturday hours at the Edmund L. and Nancy K. Dubois Library at MOPA. The library will be open to the public with no appointments necessary.

Come in and peruse the latest photography monographs and journals while enjoying our serene reading room. The Dubois Library holds more than 20,000 items, all related to photography, making it one of the largest photography libraries in the country.
