State Standards

The programs at the Museum of Photographic Arts meet state and local standards for the Visual and Performing Arts, Reading/Language Arts, and History/Social Sciences. Most programs address the five areas outlined in the California Department of Education’s Visual and Performing Arts Frameworks and Content Standards – Artistic Perception, Creative Expression, Historical and Cultural Content, Aesthetic Valuing, and Connections, Relationships, and Applications. MoPA’s staff, docents, and educators are trained to incorporate standards for their tours and programs.
