VolunteerVolunteers are an integral part of the successful operation of the Museum of Photographic Arts. Volunteering is also a wonderful way to meet new people who seek rewarding opportunities to support photography and fine arts in the community. MOPA is always looking for volunteers of all ages to assist within various departments of the museum. InternshipsMOPA’s internship program offers undergraduate and graduate level students an opportunity to grow professionally and academically in a museum environment. A variety of positions are offered through the Curatorial, Exhibition and Design, Development, Store Retail, and Education departments. Interns work closely with MOPA’s staff on projects related to special events, educational programs and upcoming exhibitions. Internships are unpaid, but are available for academic credit. |
Internship Application Procedure: MOPA accepts interns three times a year: at the beginning of the Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer trimester terms. The applications for the upcoming year will be posted and due on the following schedule for the upcoming year:

To apply, download the application and submit it by the due date along with a resume and a 500 word personal statement. Other materials, such as letters of recommendation or portfolios of work, are not required and should not be included with the application.
