Want to get an inside look at what it is like to volunteer at MOPA? Check out our featured volunteer of the month!
Volunteers are an integral part of the successful operation of the Museum of Photographic Arts. Volunteering is also a wonderful way to meet new people who seek rewarding opportunities to support photography and fine arts in the community.
Active volunteers receive a special discounted rate on any membership level and other exclusive benefits.
MOPA is always looking for volunteers of all ages to assist within various departments of the museum.
The MOPA Docent Program is a rewarding and demanding program designed for those who are interested in learning about the photographic arts, and who enjoy sharing their passion with the public.
MOPA’s internship program offers undergraduate and graduate level students an opportunity to grow professionally and academically in a museum environment. A variety of positions are offered through the Exhibition and Design, Development, Store Retail, and Education departments. Interns work closely with MOPA’s staff on projects related to special events, educational programs and upcoming exhibitions. Internships are unpaid, but are available for academic credit.
Internship Application Procedure: MOPA accepts internship applications on a rolling basis throughout the year.
