PHOTOGRAPHY LECTURE
$100 per class or assembly
What about photography? Most students graduate high school with
some background in art history, and no background in photography.
Photography is the most pervasive art form of our time and this
lecture is designed to give your students the necessary background
on the history and art of photography. This 45-minute to 1-hour
slide lecture will introduce students to various topics in photography
including the history, social impact, and specific movements.

SESSION STUDIO CLASSES

Light
and Photography
(grades 1-6)
Learn how light is an integral component in producing a photograph.
Through hands-on activities, students will learn the amazing phenomenon
of how light creates images.
Altered
Photographs
(grades
3-6)
Photographs can be altered in a variety of ways to create new
images. Students will manipulate photographs to produce a final
image incorporating a variety of techniques, images, textures,
and mediums.
Photography
in Motion (grades 3-6)
Even in the early years of photography, enthusiasts were fascinated
with the photograph’s ability to illustrate movement.
Students will create a variety of photographic animation projects.
Lights!
Camera! Action! (grades 6-8)
Learn the history of movie making! Moving pictures developed in
the 1890s and have become an integral part of our culture. Students
will learn the history and basics of making a movie, including
storyboards and different types of filmmaking techniques.

All materials are provided including one-use cameras for each
student and complete photo processing.
Photo
Scavenger Hunt (grades 4-8)
Photography creates a unique opportunity for everyone to share
their own vision of the world around them. In this hands-on workshop,
students will have the chance to get creative with a photo shoot
while learning about photographic technique and presentation.
The
Creative Eye (grades 9-12)
The perfect program for Art and Photo Classes. Students will learn
the difference between a “snapshot” and photographic
art. Students will learn about the elements of photography before
they have the chance to put theory into practice with a photo
shoot. There will be a class discussion and critique of students’
work.

Cancellations
must be made at least one week in advance and are subject to a
$50 processing fee. Confirmation of cancellations will be sent
by mail or fax. If cancellations are not made one week in advance,
100% of the program fee will be charged.
