All materials are provided, except badges, which are the responsibility of the troop leader.

Click! (for Juniors)
Trace the evolution of photography and film and learn about different cameras, lenses, and their uses. Scouts will take portraits of each other and create a frame for their favorite work!

What a Great Eye! (for Cadettes and Seniors)
Scouts explore the basics of composition and design through an interactive photo-composing activity. They also learn about digital photography and apply their learned skills to making digital pictures while using beautiful Balboa Park as their background. Scouts go home with their very own digital photograph at the end of the session!

How to Run Your Own Museum! (for Cadettes and Seniors)
This is fun! Normally reserved for patrons and special donors, Scouts go behind-the-scenes on tour of the backstage of a museum. Visit the Print Viewing Room, Registrar, and Preparator workspace, and the Museum’s Vault. Scouts also participate in a guided tour of the current exhibit and a museum activity!

Badge Requirements:
Juniors - there are 6 requirements necessary for completion of the Camera Shots Badge for Juniors. Juniors can complete their badge with the Click! program.

Cadettes and Seniors - there are 7 specific activities for Cadettes and Seniors to earn their Photography Badge. What a Great Eye! combined with on-your-own assignments will fulfill the badge requirements. How to Run Your Own Museum! fulfills the Museum Discovery Badge with one on-your-own assignment! This is a great opportunity for Seniors to get real world experience with museums.
