Docent Tours –
Docent-led tours are suggested to maximize the learning opportunities
for your students. Trained volunteer educators are available to
offer in-depth tours on the current exhibitions. Please allow
approximately 45-minutes for docent-led tours.
Self-Guided
Tours –
Groups may choose to visit the galleries on their own.
Cost:
· Docent-led or self-guided school tours are free of charge
with advance reservations of two weeks or more.
· Please note that school groups arriving without a reservation
will be charged per student.
TOUR
RESERVATIONS, CANCELLATIONS, AND CONTACT INFORMATION
Reservations
· Docent-led or self-guided tours are available everyday,
except holidays, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
· The museum does not provide tours on Free Tuesday (Second
Tues. of every month).
· Reservations for all tours must be made at least two
weeks in advance.
· Unless otherwise notified, docents and educators will
wait 10 minutes past the scheduled tour time. After this time,
you must self-guide.
· Ideal tour size is 15 people or fewer. Larger groups
will be split into two or more groups. For example, a group of
60 will be split into two groups of 15 on tours that begin at
10:00 a.m. and two groups of 15 on tours that begin at 10:30 a.m.
Tours are staggered to prevent crowding in the galleries.
· One chaperon per 15 children (age 18 and under) is required
to accompany tours.
· Behind-the-scenes tours are only scheduled under special
circumstances and are only conducted on weekdays during business
hours.
· A confirmation of your reservation will be sent by mail.
· Please bring your confirmation to the program as proof
of registration.
· Please note that groups arriving without a reservation
will be charged standard admission rates and will not receive
group discounts.
Cancellations
· Cancellations of docent-led or self-guided tours must
be made 48 hours in advance.
