The Museum of Photographic Art’s Education programs meet many of the state and local standards for the Visual and Performing Arts, Reading/Language Arts, and History-Social Sciences. Most programs address the five areas outlined in the California Department of Education’s Visual and Performing Arts Frameworks and Content Standards—Artistic Perception, Creative Expression, Historical and Cultural Content, Aesthetic Valuing, and Connections, Relationships and Applications. MoPA’s docents and educators are trained to address the frameworks and standards in their tours and programs in order to assist teachers.
