Prix Pictet: Power

Prix Pictet, an annual juried prize, uses photography as an instrument to shed light on important social and environmental issues. Each year it selects one theme on which to focus. The first three themes were Water, Earth and Growth. Now in its 4th installment, Prix Pictet has selected Power as the subject of this year’s exhibition.

Photography professionals from around the world, including MOPA’s Executive Director, Deborah Klochko, nominated over 650 photographers from 76 countries for the prize. A jury then whittled down that list, based on both artistry and the illustration of this year’s theme, to a final short list of twelve. These twelve photographers are featured in the exhibition with Luc Delahaye winning the actual Prix Pictet award.
