Tours are available 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, Tuesday through Sunday, except holidays and the second Tuesday of every month. Two-weeks advanced notice required. One chaperone per every 15 children (age 18 and under) is required.

  • Docent- Led Tours: Maximize your group’s learning and excitement for your students with a docent-led tour of the Museum’s exhibitions. Free to school groups. General group tours are $4 per person.
  • Self-Guided Tours: Bring your group to MOPA and tour the exhibitions on your own. Online curriculum materials will help you customize your visit to your group’s needs. Free to school groups. General group tours are $4 per person.
  • Behind-the-Scenes Tours: Get an unforgettable glimpse into a side of the Museum most visitors never get to see with this behind-the-scenes tour led by museum staff. Suggested donation: $50. Maximum 20 people.  Please email
  • Print Viewing Room Tours: MOPA’s print-viewing room is available to scholars, educators, students and artists for specific projects related to MOPA’s permanent collection of 7,000 photographs. Maximum 20 people.  Please email
  • Audio Tour: Experience selected photographic works through the perspectives of artists, museum staff and community members in our Audio In|Sight program. To access the tour, you must have a smartphone with 3G network access to the Museum or listen to the tour online.
