Types of Tours
MOPA offers free tours to K-12 school groups, colleges, and universities. These tours focus on deep looking and discussion of images on exhibition to strengthen the students' visual literacy skills.
For K-12 groups, one chaperone per every 15 children is required.
Group tours for the general public are available as docent-led or self-guided. Museum admission required. Admission is $6 per person if the group has 10 or more people.
MOPA’s docent-led tours are guided discussions of images on exhibition. Docents will facilitate deeper looking at art on display, and answer questions about the exhibitions.
Self-guided tours allow the visiting group to explore the exhibitions on their own. The interpretive text and informational materials are designed to educate people of all ages and abilities.
Bring your group to see MOPA’s Edmund L. and Nancy K. Dubois Library. Led by MOPA’s librarian, your group will see the depth and breadth of the library’s collection.
Get an exclusive look at the operations of MOPA on one of our behind-the-scenes tours. MOPA staff will guide you through the museum’s workshops, vault, and library.
Behind-the-scenes tours are $50 for schools. For the general public, they are $20 per person.
